RA - Resident Assistant

Thinking about applying for a position as a Resident Assistant?

The RA position at MSU is a fun and challenging one. RAs help with all housing and residence life activities.  This translates into resident interactions, student advising, programming, community building, office and duty shifts, leadership meetings and much more!

What is a Resident Assistant
?  The Resident Assistant position is a very integral part of the housing operation.  RA's are students who live on the floors with the students and assist them with any problems they might encounter.  RAs also plan social programs to help each student find their own social network, and plan educational programs to help them learn and grow outside of the classroom.  RAs earn free room and board for their services, as well as a small stipend each month.

How do you learn more about the position
?
Applications for being an RA are available towards the end of the Fall semester and positions are filled for the upcoming academic year.  If you or someone you know is interested in being a Resident Assistant, stop by the Office of Housing and Residence Life at any time or call 940-397-4218.
